We booked our airplane tickets yesterday! Here's our itinerary:
Mon (Feb.15): Denver to Houston, Houston to Dubai
Tues (Feb. 16): arrive in Dubai at 7 p.m.
Wed (Feb. 17): sight see in Dubai
Thurs (Feb. 18): Dubai to Addis Ababa. Arrive around noon. I have an email in to Holt to see if we can meet Enatalem that afternoon since we're arriving so early. Cross your fingers!
Fri (Feb. 19): official day to meet Enatalem!
Sat (Feb 20): museum, Care Center, Cultural Dinner (I'm guessing on this based on other families' trips)
Sunday (Feb. 21): Drive to Durame for birthparent meetings (guessing)
Monday (Feb. 22): Drive back to Addis, take custody of Enatalem (guessing)
Tuesday (Feb. 23): U.S. Embassy Appointment to secure Entatalem's visa
Wednesday (Feb. 24): Hotel, Farewell Ceremony, Shopping (guessing)
Thursday (Feb. 25): Hotel, receive Enatalem's visa, Addis to Dubai. Arrive Dubai 12:35 a.m. Stay in hotel provided by Emirates airline
Fri (Feb. 26): Leave Dubai at 9:05 a.m. Arrive HOME 8:45 p.m.
Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!

I'm excited about all of your trip, but especially the trip to Dubai. My husband and I are hoping to spend some time there on our way as well.
ReplyDeleteOk I'm like slightly envious of your sight seeing in Dubai!!!! Don't do any downhill indoor skiing and hurt yourself or anything. ;)
